Our Services

Picture
We are an experienced general dermatology clinic dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of all diseases affecting the skin, hair, and nails. Acne, warts, psoriasis, eczema, rash, skin lesions, to name a few.

Our special emphasis is on the detection and treatment of skin cancer and mole evaluation. We offer total body skin exams for melanoma detection.

We offer a comprehensive psoriasis phototherapy treatment center. This includes the specialized use of our PUVA, UVB-broad band, and UVB narrowband machines.

Our cosmetic dermatology services include the removal of unwanted benign skin growths, moles, and skin tags. We also offer Varilite laser treatments for facial blood vessels and unwanted brown spots on the face and hands. Our fees for these services are quite competitive, being lower than most, and priced for the Southern Colorado community.

We have a CO2 laser available for removal of  unwanted skin growths and plantar warts.

All surgical services offered here are performed in the office, under local anesthesia, and without any need for sedation. In our office there are no additional surgical suite or anesthesia fees, and patients are able to drive safely after any surgical procedure performed in our office..

Concerning MOHS surgery: It is an expensive and time-consuming procedure for the removal of certain types of skin cancer. We do have an in-house MOHS surgeon and surgical suite for difficult skin cancer cases. However, we only recommend it when necessary and indicated as the most appropriate treatment. While some dermatologic practices advertise this procedure as the only method of skin cancer removal, it is often unnecessary and a simpler and much less expensive surgical technique may be more appropriate. Insurance companies monitor for potential abuse in the billing of  unnecessary MOHS surgery which could result in such fees being denied, leaving you with the bill.

We are also a  licensed CLIA certified dermatopathology laboratory supervised by an in-house board-certified dermatopathologist.
